Tommy Boy Omitted Rob Lowe

Rob Lowe played Tommy's villainous stepbrother, Paul Barish, in Tommy Boy without receiving an onscreen credit. A 2015 retrospective attributed the omission to Lowe's contractual commitment to the Stephen King television miniseries The Stand and said he joined Tommy Boy because of his friendship with Chris Farley. However, director Peter Segal later said that remaining uncredited was Lowe's choice and that he did not know the reason.
