Spider-Man Solved Fights Without Punching

Spider-Man: The Animated Series (1994-1998) followed a no-punching rule for its hero, but network censors did not impose it. Series producer John Semper Jr. said he created the restriction because he did not want children to learn to "solve problems through simple violence." He instead made Spider-Man defeat enemies through more tactical methods.
