Americans Game Weekly Across Generations

Nearly 70% of Americans play video games for at least one hour each week, according to the Entertainment Software Association's 2026 report. The ESA and YouGov found that 67% of Americans ages 5 to 90, or 212.3 million people, met that threshold, an increase of 7.2 million from 2025. Weekly gaming included more than 80% of Gen Alpha and Gen Z, 50% of Boomers, and 32% of the Silent Generation.
