Red Bull Settled Wings Lawsuit

In 2013, a man named Benjamin Careathers filed a class action against Austrian energy drink company Red Bull over advertising surrounding its famous "Red Bull gives you wings" slogan. He alleged that the company lacked scientific support for claims that its drinks improved performance, concentration, and reaction speed beyond ordinary caffeine. In 2014, Red Bull agreed to a $13 million settlement that offered eligible customers either $10 in cash or $15 worth of Red Bull products. Its slogan was later changed to "Red Bull gives you wiiings."
