Frederick Augustus III, the last king of Saxony from 1904 to 1918, became known for his informal manner and self-deprecating humor. According to a popular story, a woman saw him standing in military uniform on a railway platform, mistook him for an employee, and asked him to move her trunk. Frederick reportedly replied, "Madam, I am not a porter; I only look like one."
