Facebook Boast Cost Father $80,000

In 2011, a Florida man named Patrick Snay reached an $80,000 settlement with Miami's Gulliver Preparatory School after alleging age discrimination and retaliation. The agreement required Snay and his wife to keep it confidential, but they told their daughter, a girl named Dana Snay. Dana posted to roughly 1,200 Facebook friends, "Gulliver is now officially paying for my vacation to Europe this summer. SUCK IT." A Florida appeals court ruled that Snay had breached the agreement and cost him the $80,000 payment.
