Between 2005 and 2009, Google, Apple, Adobe, Intel, Intuit, Pixar, and Lucasfilm maintained agreements restricting them from directly recruiting one another's employees. A class action representing roughly 64,000 workers alleged that the arrangements reduced competition for skilled employees and suppressed salaries. Apple, Google, Intel, and Adobe eventually settled for $415 million, while Intuit, Pixar, and Lucasfilm paid another $20 million, bringing the total settlements to $435 million.
