Patty Duke Testified Through Tears

In 1959, 12-year-old American actress Patty Duke competed on The $64,000 Question and won $32,000 by answering questions about popular music. Investigators later exposed the game show as rigged and called Duke before a US Senate panel. During the hearing, she broke down in tears and admitted following instructions to speak falsely.
