Nutrition Labels Dropped Two Vitamins

Beginning in January 2020, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration stopped requiring vitamins A and C on updated Nutrition Facts labels because deficiencies had become uncommon compared with when the labels were first created. Manufacturers may still list both vitamins voluntarily. The revised labels instead require vitamin D and potassium because many Americans do not consume enough of these nutrients.
