Moth Became First Computer Bug

In 1947, American computer scientist Grace Hopper and her team traced a malfunction in the Harvard Mark II computer to an actual moth stuck inside the machine. They removed the insect and taped it into the computer's logbook with the note "first actual case of bug being found." The incident helped popularize the terms "bug" and "debugging" in computer science.
