VVV-Venlo Signed A Toddler Prospect

In 2011, Dutch football club VVV-Venlo signed an 18-month-old toddler named Baerke van der Meij to a symbolic ten-year contract after his father uploaded a video showing him kicking a ball into his toy chest three times in a row. Club officials jokingly described him as a promising talent and invited him to a signing ceremony. Baerke marked the occasion by scribbling his signature on the contract. After completing the deal, the toddler celebrated with a glass of orange juice.
