Infant Simulator Dolls Backfired Badly

Many schools have used infant simulator dolls that cry, burp, and require feeding and diaper changes to discourage teen pregnancy. The programs were designed to give teenagers a realistic glimpse of the responsibilities of caring for a baby. However, a 2016 study found that girls who participated in the program were about 36% more likely to become pregnant by age 20 than those who did not.
