Icelandic musician Hildur Gudnadottir composed the soundtrack for the 2019 miniseries "Chernobyl," which depicts the 1986 nuclear disaster. To build the score, she used field recordings from a real power plant in Lithuania. Those recordings captured the sounds of pumps, reactors, and turbines, giving the music an industrial sound tied directly to the world the series depicted.
