Hendrix Changed Dylan's Watchtower Forever

All Along the Watchtower began as a song by Bob Dylan, but American guitarist Jimi Hendrix turned it into the version many listeners know best. Dylan said Hendrix’s version overwhelmed him so much that he began performing the song in that style himself. After Hendrix died in 1970, Dylan said playing "All Along the Watchtower" felt like a tribute to him.
