Norwegian Red Cross Played Rebels

The actors playing the Rebel soldiers on Hoth in "The Empire Strikes Back" were members of the Norwegian Red Cross. The production used them during the Norway shoot, where the snowy location doubled for the ice planet. In return for their participation, George Lucas made a large donation to the organization.
