Boba Fett Copied Oswalt’s Pitch

Jon Favreau confirmed to American comedian Patton Oswalt that "The Book of Boba Fett" copied one specific scene from Oswalt’s old "Parks and Rec" bit. In that improvised filibuster pitch for "Star Wars: Episode VII," Oswalt described Boba Fett’s hand reaching out of the sand as he escaped the Sarlacc pit. The show later staged Fett’s escape that way, matching the gag years after Oswalt first imagined it.
