Grace Kelly’s Paparazzi Shield Bag

In 1956, American actress and Princess of Monaco Grace Kelly was frequently photographed while pregnant and clutching a distinctive Hermès leather handbag. She likely used the purse to shield herself from paparazzi, but the repeated photos made the bag famous. Hermès later renamed the design the Kelly bag.
