Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the Milky Way’s center, has a mass of about 4.3 million Suns, yet its measured diameter is only about 51.8 million km, roughly 37 Sun-diameters. That size is small enough that it would fit inside the space between Earth and the Sun, even though it anchors the Milky Way’s central region and warps the orbits of nearby stars.
