Moon Dust Gave Astronauts Hayfever

All 12 astronauts who stepped on the Moon experienced "lunar hay fever" because of highly abrasive Moon dust, which they said smelled like burnt gunpowder. The dust clung to spacesuits and entered the lunar module after moonwalks, where astronauts breathed it in and felt irritation in their noses and throats. Microscopically, these particles are sharp and glass-like, as constant meteorite impacts broke lunar rock into fine powder, and there are no elements like water and air to erode and smoothen them.
