During the filming of "Apocalypse Now" (1979), actor Martin Sheen suffered a near-fatal heart attack that forced the production to keep going without him. Director Francis Ford Coppola brought in Sheen’s brother, Joe Estevez, to stand in for several scenes. Estevez also recorded the film’s voiceover narration because he sounded almost identical to Martin.
