Ric O'Barry Switched Sides

Ric O'Barry trained dolphins for the TV show "Flipper," so he started out on the captivity side of the business. Then, one of the dolphins from the show, named Cathy, died in his arms, and this moment changed his perspective on the entire industry. Thereafter, O'Barry moved into activism and began campaigning against keeping dolphins in captivity and for entertainment.
