Scientists have long known that dinosaur droppings can fossilize into coprolites and preserve clues about ancient diets. One famous giant specimen (30 cm) from Late Cretaceous rocks was already so big that researchers thought only a predator like Tyrannosaurus rex could have produced it. But a recently found one named Barnum is now described to be about 67.5 centimeters long, and it is still believed to have come from a T. rex.
