Bones generate piezoelectric signals when mechanical stress is applied, creating tiny electrical charges within the tissue. These signals attract osteoblasts, the cells responsible for building bone, to the stressed area. The osteoblasts then deposit calcium and other minerals there, increasing bone density and strengthening the structure over time.
