Japan’s Post-Pandemic Travel Reluctance

A 2022 study by the travel company Expedia found that 35% of adults in Japan said they intended to never travel again. Researchers compared attitudes across several countries and discovered that no other nation showed a similar level of reluctance toward travel. South Korea ranked second in the survey, but only 15% of respondents there said they planned to avoid travel permanently.
