In a season 5 episode of King of the Hill, a doctor jokingly calls Hank’s problem “diminished gluteal syndrome,” or “dead butt syndrome,” a term that later turned out to describe a real condition where weak glute muscles contribute to back and knee pain. Doctors also call it “sleepy glutes,” “flabby butt,” or "long back," and they treat it with targeted strengthening and stretching exercises to wake the muscles back up.
