Alyssa Milano Publicly Supports Ryan

In the late 1980s, actress Alyssa Milano befriended Ryan White, an Indiana teenager who became nationally known after being ostracized for contracting AIDS through a blood treatment. Milano joined him on The Phil Donahue Show and kissed him on the cheek on camera to show that casual contact could not transmit the disease.
