South Park’s 399 Swear Words

In 1999, the movie "South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut" was on track for an NC-17 rating because of excessive profanity, including 146 uses of the word "fuck." The MPAA told creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker that 400 or more swear words would trigger the NC-17 label. To dodge that rating, they cut the script down so the final count landed at 399 swear words.
