Janis Joplin’s Hard-Partying Funeral Wake

In 1970, Janis Joplin's will set aside $2,500 to finance a wild wake after she passed away. Many of her musician friends showed up to play at the funeral gathering, which took place at a popular rock venue where she had often performed. Around 300 attendees drank heavily and partied hard in her honor.
