Amish Support School Shooter’s Family

In 2006, after a man shot 10 Amish schoolgirls in Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania, and then committed suicide, members of the Amish community went to his family to offer them support. They also set up a charitable fund for his widow and children. When the shooter’s funeral took place, dozens of Amish attendees also surrounded his family to shield them from media attention.
