Robin Williams' Lost Trekkie Role

In the early 1990s, Star Trek: The Next Generation writers created the role of Berlinghoff Rasmussen in the episode "A Matter of Time" specifically for Robin Williams, imagining him as a fast-talking, car-salesman-style time traveler who is really a con man. Williams had to decline the part because he was filming Hook, so another actor ultimately took on the role instead.
