Pierce Brosnan's Tragic Rise Story

Pierce Brosnan's Tragic Rise Story

Pierce Brosnan grew up poor in Ireland after his father left and his mother moved to London for work, and he was raised by relatives before being sent to a boarding house. He studied painting, joined a circus act as a fire eater, and was first discovered as an actor when playwright Tennessee Williams chose him for a stage role, which launched his career. Both his first wife, Cassandra, and his daughter, Charlotte, died of ovarian cancer, in 1991 and 2013, respectively, leaving him with two devastating family losses.
