Danny DeVito played a huge part in getting Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction made by championing the script after TriStar Pictures rejected it as too violent. He then used his producing clout to shop the screenplay to dozens of other studios, keeping the project alive until it finally secured the backing it needed to go into production.
