Last Kmart In Continental America

Only a single Kmart store currently exists in the continental United States (as of Jan 2026), even though during its peak in the early 1980s almost 2,100 Kmart stores were operating across the United States and Canada. After Kmart closed its last full-sized big-box mainland store in 2024, only a smaller location in Kendale Lakes, Florida, remained as the lone surviving Kmart in the continental U.S.
