While filming the dodgeball scenes in Billy Madison, Adam Sandler actually pelted the child actors with real throws and hit them hard enough that he made one of the kids cry. The angry parents confronted him, and he replied, "Didn't they read the script?" only for one parent to snap back, "They're six, they don't read yet."
