Easy Bake Ovens Burn Children

In 2007, about 1 million Easy-Bake Ovens were recalled after 278 reports of children getting their hands or fingers caught in the oven’s opening. Those incidents included 82 burn injuries, 16 of which were second or third-degree burns, and one 5-year-old girl whose finger had to be amputated because of a severe burn.
