Martha Wash Hidden Behind Model

In 1990, C+C Music Factory used Martha Wash's powerful vocals on "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" but left her uncredited and unpaid in royalties at the time. Although Wash, described as full-figured, provided the song's signature voice, the music video replaced her with a model who lip-synced her lines, hiding the real singer from viewers.
