When Napoleon’s son Napoleon Franz, also known as Napoleon II, died at age 21 at Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna in 1832, he reportedly summed up his short life with the last words, "My story is my birth and death. Between my cradle and my grave, there is a big zero." He was buried in Vienna, but in 1940, Adolf Hitler ordered his remains moved to Paris and placed at Les Invalides near his father’s tomb.
