In the late 17th and early 18th centuries, physicist Isaac Newton also immersed himself in biblical prophecy and occult studies alongside his famous scientific work. Using complex calculations based on the Book of Daniel and other religious texts, he estimated that the end of the world as we know it would occur around the year 2060. Newton did not imagine total annihilation, but rather the end of the current historical order. He believed that afterward humanity would enter a new era of divinely guided peace.
