Brazil's Vigilante Killer Petey

Brazil's Vigilante Killer Petey

In the late 1960s and 1970s, Brazilian killer Pedro Rodrigues Filho, later nicknamed Killer Petey, began murdering people he believed were criminals, starting as a teenager after he claimed local officials framed his father. Authorities eventually arrested him in 1973, and courts sentenced him to more than 100 years in prison for a long series of homicides.

Even behind bars, Rodrigues kept killing, targeting rapists, informants, and other inmates he considered "bad," and he admitted to murdering dozens of fellow prisoners. His known victim count includes at least 47 people killed inside various Brazilian prisons.
