Jurassic Park Rogue Rain-Soaked T-Rex

On the set of Jurassic Park (1993), the full-sized T-Rex animatronic was not built to be waterproof, even though most of its big scenes took place in heavy rain. When the foam skin absorbed water, the hydraulics and controls sometimes malfunctioned, and the dinosaur would randomly jerk or move on its own between takes. The unexpected lurching reportedly startled the cast and crew sometimes.
