Cheeseburger Audition Won Garfield Spider-Man

During casting for The Amazing Spider-Man (2012), Andrew Garfield filmed an unreleased audition scene where Peter Parker casually ate a cheeseburger while telling Gwen Stacy to calm down. Director Marc Webb later said the way Garfield ate the food was something he "just hadn't seen before" and that it simply worked. That odd little moment of burger eating helped convince Webb that Garfield was the right choice to wear the Spider-Man suit.
