Young Americans Becoming Sexless

In the United States, the share of adults ages 18 to 29 who reported having no sex in the prior 12 months doubled between 2010 and 2024, based on analysis of the General Social Survey. In 2010, 12% of 18-to-29-year-olds said they had no sex in the past year, and by 2024 that figure rose to roughly 24%.
