Norse Naglfar Dead Nails Ship

In Norse mythology, during the final battle of Ragnarök, there is a ship called Naglfar, made entirely from the untrimmed fingernails and toenails of the dead, that will carry hordes of enemies to fight the gods. The myths say that as corpses rot in their graves, their nails contribute to the ship’s construction, slowly building its hull in the realm of the dead. When Ragnarök comes, Naglfar will break free from its moorings and sail with giants and other foes toward the gods. Because of this, tradition warns people to keep their nails trimmed so they do not help complete the terrible ship.
