Japanese Kasa Obake Haunted Umbrella

In Japanese mythology, if an old umbrella is left alone long enough, it can become a one-eyed, one-legged hopping demon known as Kasa-Obake. This creature is a type of tsukumogami, a household object that gains a spirit after long use or neglect, and it usually appears as a tattered paper umbrella with a single glaring eye, a long tongue, and one leg wearing a wooden clog. At night, Kasa-Obake hops through streets or houses, startling people and playing tricks rather than outright attacking them.
