Norse Loki Goat Rope Prank

In Norse mythology, the trickster god Loki once tied one end of a rope to a goat’s beard and the other end around his testicles and started a brutal game of tug-of-war. As the goat jerked and pulled, Loki screamed and yanked back, making both of them howl in pain and terror. The racket drew the giantess Skadi, who had come to Asgard seeking compensation for her father’s death. When she saw Loki’s ridiculous torment, she could not help laughing, and that laughter fulfilled one of the gods’ conditions for settling her claim.
