UC Santa Cruz Pentagon Threat

In April 2005, student activists at the University of California, Santa Cruz, a famously liberal campus, staged loud protests against military recruiters at a career fair and eventually drove them off campus. A Pentagon surveillance program known as TALON logged the action and labeled the student opposition a "credible threat" to military recruiters, the only campus antiwar protest in the database to receive that designation.
