Jeremiah Denton Blinks Torture Message

During the Vietnam War, American POW Jeremiah Denton was forced by his captors to appear in a Vietnamese propaganda film that was to be sent to the United States. Sitting in front of the camera, he deliberately blinked in a pattern that spelled out the word "TORTURE" in Morse code. His captors thought he simply struggled with the bright lights, but his blinking secretly told viewers that prisoners were suffering torture in captivity.
