Fieldston Private New York Enclave

In the Fieldston neighborhood of New York City, the entire 1.1 km² area is privately owned, including its streets, sewers, and trees. As a private community, residents control and maintain the internal infrastructure themselves rather than relying on the city. Once a year, they close the streets to non-residents so the roads continue to qualify legally as privately owned.
