Himakajima Annual Green Light

On Himakajima, a small island in Japan, there is only one set of traffic lights. The signal stays red all year and turns green only once, during an annual safety lesson for local children. Teachers use that day to show kids how to cross properly before they leave the island for schools on the mainland.
