Rian Johnson's Breaking Bad "Fly"

In 2010, AMC aired Breaking Bad's season 3 episode "Fly," directed by Rian Johnson. In this episode where nothing happens, it confines Walter White and Jesse Pinkman to the meth lab as they obsess over a contaminating fly and chase after it for the whole show. Johnson later wrote and directed Star Wars Episode VIII, making "Fly" an early showcase of his meticulous, minimalist style.
